After much thinking on Macs and PCs, I've come to the conclusion that Mac Lovers should stay as Mac Lovers, and Windows Lovers to stay as Windows Lovers, instead of trying to over excessively coax each party into converting.

It's a technologically dynamic equilibrium.

In America, only 12% of households own Macs. This ratio keeps most virus-creators from creating viruses and malware for Mac OSes, aiming for Windows-based ailments and making Apple such a clean and lovely little thing :)

Yeah, I love Apple, but I still use Windows (though I wished I was using the white fruit instead).

so I read October's Reader's Digest for 4 hours, from 3AM till 7AM.
and that's when I slept, after finishing the whole thing =.=

I learnt that the "muscles weaken due to insufficient rest" theory is true, the hard way.
could only do 3 triangle pushups when I got up at 10AM, usually I can do 15 to 30.

though I do know that the Nokia N78 costs RM900+

so I'm guessing above RM1k

and the N78 and N79 are the only 2 Nokia exceptions that I don't hate.

coz their interface aren't as pokerface and stagnantly static as their brethren.

Still, the handphone is more important coz mine is already showing signs of Dementia, Alzheimer, and Parkinsons, and experiencing random heart attacks.

Seriously.

Dementia & Alzheimer: it sometimes sends 2 same SMSes due to memory loss(?). YiEn knows this haha.

Parkinsons: it sometimes suddenly vibrates non-stop until I shut it down.

Heart Attack: it sometimes suddenly shuts down on it's own.

It was an early night when I sat foot on the wooden floor just before the chattering of hungry diners and a gentle zephyr, filled with the smell of a myriad of food, greeted me. I looked beyond the mass of people, situated at saffron tables, who were either feasting or waiting for their dishes to come. Then, a waitress welcomed us and sat us at a table in the middle of the Chinese restaurant and immediately asked for orders from the 5 of us - mom, sis, grandma, aunt, and I. Before we could say a word, dad came and sat opposite of me and started firing away with inquiries of menu items and orders.

As we were being shoved with peanuts as appetizers, the steel roof of South Sea Seafood Restaurant shifted to the sides to create an alfresco dining experience for the people underneath, revealing a starless night that, once in a while, roared with the sound of a flying airplane from or to the Subang Airport which is 1.5 KM from here.

As we chatted under the dark cloud-battered sky, we were fed with the cosy ambiance; soothing amber lanterns, rainbow-coloured pendaflour beams of radiating light, streams of vapour gushed out through hoses surrounding the restaurant that cooled down the hungry eaters, and the Jazzy English songs from the 60s and 70s that pumped out of numerous BMB speakers laid atop the ceiling. It wasn't a long wait before our first dish arrived majestically.

It was my first time seeing a Geoduck encroached upon a plate in a Sashimi fashion, as I've only seen these sea creatures thriving in sweating aquatic tanks, waiting for their time to come when they are devoured by us, humans. All of us stared at the majestic creation which had its dainty cut-up meat enthroned on top of a neat pile of shredded ice shavings with its hard circular shell, strewn with line upon line of sepia, ochre, and ebony with a background of beige, jutting out of the sleety substance and two mauve orchids nestled beside them. The sliced sea creature came with a clay bowl of Chinese herbal soup atop a portable stove which fed it with heat.

After dipping a piece of Mexican Geoduck, taken from its shelled cache, and placing it in my mouth, my teeth bit into its succulent meat that held a salty aroma found only in deep sea creatures that was slightly toned down to give it its distinct flavour of a seemingly cross between soft and tender beef and the elastic chewiness of scallops. I took a second piece, this time smothering it with Wasabi which killed much of the seafood scent and giving a burst of what one would expect from eating Japanese horse radish.

Even though we slowly enjoyed the steamboat themed dish, we finished it with plenty of ice to spare before the waiters hurriedly carried the plate of frosty ice and shell, and the stove and pot away to give room for our next dish.

Being one of my sister's favourite dishes of all time, she hastily dug into the hill of palatable deep-fried squid which revealed subtle creamy white flesh from its batter that was fried into a rich golden brown, before receiving her bowl of white rice. The hill of fried squid nestled on a white oval plate with thin cucumber slices artistically placed on the rims, along with another signature mauve orchid, English parsley, and cabbage rips, as if depicting the thinning forests of the Earth.

As I heard mom lecturing sister about her weight gain, I helped myself to the squid and took a bite, resulting in satisfaction personified in a piece of seafood which had a thin and crunchy layer of fried batter on the outside and an elastic body, attained by the squid's constant movements before it was captured, in the inside. After swallowing it, mom's complaining ceased, as if magically calmed by the squid's rich taste and the magenta sambal which gave it a spicy yet nectareous flavour.

After seconds and thirds, the next dish swooped onto our table like a majestic eagle.

The jelly-like epicurean sea cucumber was our next guest, accompanied by a group of tough verdant broccoli, placed in a position akin to the centrioles of an animal cell during cell division, and dried sepia fish lungs, all bathed in a thick ochre gravy. It's a renowned delicacy among Chinese yet its fame is only contributed by its hefty price tag and jelly-like tenderness, not its bland taste. Still, I took a piece.

Upon biting into the piece of sea cucumber, a plate of 'kai lan' arrived, where the leaves of the vegetable are separated from the trunk and cooked in two different methods; the dark green leaves are deep-fried until crispy and the light green trunks are fried lightly. Being the only dish with proper amounts of vegetables, I knew I had to eat the hill of trunks and its deep-fried leaves which were mounted on top of it.

The two parts of the 'kai lan' gave very different and distinct tastes; the generously-fried leaves had a flavour and crisp akin to fried seaweed whereas the trunk had a softened tenderness which eased the diner's jaws.

Then, a female-voiced jazzy version of the song Copacabana by Barry Manilow came on as the next dish arrived.

I stared, transfixed, at the plate of soya sauce-steamed sea grouper, blanketed with spring onions above its variegated skin, that was perched on top of a metal construction, shaped like an inverted crown, which kept it warm with a small amber flame. At that point of time, the song, accompanied by a jazzy saxophone, sang the words, "they were young and they had each other, who could ask for more?"

As I started to tingle with excitement, Grandma took the spoon and carved into the succulent flesh of the grouper which radiated steam and plopped a piece of juicy myotome onto her bowl, after which, I followed suit.

Biting into the tender and fresh ambrosial flesh of the grouper made me shed a small tear of joy, which I immediately wiped off when a waiter came over holding a huge plate above shoulder level.

Lo and behold! Garnished with English Parsley, the piece de resistance, salted egg crab, nestled itself upon our table majestically as it radiated an invigorating blend of salty century eggs and the salty essence of the sea found only in such a delectable arthropod. Amidst the semi-solid saffron century eggs which carpeted the surface of the crab, cracks of its hard tangerine shell provocatively showed off hints of seductive white flesh that gave it its status of "jiu pai", in other words, the Restaurant's must-try signature dish. Using my hands, I grabbed the quartered body with its two legs that stuck out like the antennas of an old TV set, only they were garishly orange instead of a charcoal drab. Sister instinctively took a claw.

The first bite consisted of tearing through the softer translucent inner shell and into the satisfyingly luscious white flesh that oozed salty water which hydrated the arthropod's body. At that point of time, I knew that the 45 minute drive down to Subang was well worth it, as the mouthwatering crab, truly the epitome of seafood, could easily bring even posh five star hotel food to shame.

After washing our hands and ridding them of the strong seafood smell, the dessert came, in the form of a kuih resembling fried mooncake albeit much flatter and oblong. I took a piece and immediately recognized the sweet gooey substance it contained between its walls, lotus paste. Compared to the much larger and denser mooncake, the dainty kuih was much better at flushing out the nectareous flavour of the lotus paste as it provides a more compact dose.

We left the restaurant to its booming business upon paying the bill. It was obvious the metallic silver Toyota Camry would have a heavier load, compared to its burden an hour ago.

Till now, I can still taste the par excellence crab meat, accompanied with a blanket of century eggs, and wonder when would be my next trip to this food haven.
